English Bootcamp for Developers
Loopahead is an intense eight-week program that arms you with the English speaking confidence to dominate remote culture-fit and technical interviews.
Programmers that communicate confidently in English earn a significantly higher income than programmers at the same experience and skill level that do not dominate English well enough for technical interviews.
Silicon Valley companies are increasingly recruiting engineers remotely with above local-market average compensation, but the one common requirement for all applicants is a strong level of English for written and verbal communication.
Loopahead removes language as an obstacle to higher-income jobs.
This is not your typical English class, there are no lectures and no memorizing the to-be verb. Instead, you will learn-by-doing and through personalized sessions in the following format:
Daily Recorded Video Interviews
Confidence and Soft-Skills
You will receive daily soft-skills interview questions sourced from real Silicon Valley companies.
You will then video record and submit your answers for our staff members to provide in-depth feedback on what you can improve on both your English and the soft-skills content of your answers so you can incorporate that feedback into your answers for the following day.
Live Group Current Events Discussion
Stay current in industry news
Participate in small-group video-call discussions around current topics specific to the software industry and programming discipline.
Topics like: What do you think of Metaflow, Netflix's Python Framework for Data Science? What do you think of Spotify's use of React for all mobile apps?
This will help you both stay current with the latest trends and be able to handle unstructured thematic conversations.
1 on 1 Weekly Feedback Session
Feedback by Certified Instructors
Our certified staff of English instructors carefully review all your recorded material of the week to provide actionable personalized feedback that you can use to improve in the activities of the upcoming week.
Read out-loud fluency practice
Improve Idioms, Tone and Cadence
In order to increase your vocabulary and improve pronunciation, tone, and cadence, you will practice reading and recording dialogue from popular TV shows like HBO's Silicon Valley and Mr. Robot, and with the help of voice recognition and automated closed captioning technology, you can compare your delivery versus the original.
In-Person Language Exchange
Afternoon Picnic with Native Speakers
A more social setting with less structure and predictability so you can increase your confidence in improvising a conversation in English with no prior preparation. Hours and availability depend on your city.
An interview from all angles
In order to master the English component of soft-skills and technical-skills job interviews, you must also get familiar with interview questions and put yourself in the shoes of an interviewer.
We will match students to serve as interviewers and interviewees for this exercise.
A Lifelong Network
From how to rewrite your LinkedIn, improving your visibility as a developer, salary and equity negotiation, you will have access to our mentor network of senior engineers and career development workshops during and after the program.
Real Remote Job Interviews
The Final Challenge
Receive advice from our career mentors to land 2-4 real job interviews so you can put your practice to the test. The goal is not necessarily to land the job but to get familiar with what a real interview feels like.
Instructors and Mentors via Chat
You will access to the community, instructors, and mentors via chat support even if its outside of the scheduled sessions. Whether you are feeling anxious about an upcoming real interview or you need help on negotiating an offer, we are there for you.

Senior Project Manager
You have an excellent methodology and great teachers, and I feel I have improved a lot my fluency, grammar, and listening skills. I have studied in a lot of places and I consider this methodology is the best.
This service provided a practice environment where I was able to improve my skills and confidence in English. They were very patient and engaged in my learning process, I felt they genuinely wanted me to get better. I truly enjoyed the one on one feedback sessions and the in-person meetings. I recommend this service.
